I’m going in at EP50 on Saturday and see that there is a portage and also what appears to be a channel from Rib to Karl. Looking on Google Earth, the channel appears to be relatively wide. Anyone know if it’s passable?

This is a last minute trip, so I haven’t taken the time to do a search. Hopefully you experts know. Thanks in advance!!

There is a paddle able channel between Rib & Karl. It is called Lower George Lake. However, there are portages in and out of Lower George that need to be used to get to Karl. Both are short and relatively easy though there is a bit of a climb on the trail into Karl. Trip report from last year.
