Has anyone noticed a huge increase in slugs lately? The last campsite we were in on Polaris was overrun with them. They were all over everything as soon as we put it down. I noticed more of them on the other campsites than I remember in the past, too. It did rain pretty heavily just as we got there. Maybe it is because it was really dry then there was some rain?

Tripped June 7 - 16 and did not see any slugs.

It just depends on my trip and location, as well as weather. Over the past couple years, I have had a lot of slugs or no slugs. You must have hit the jackpot :)

There was a lot of "aaagh, dammit" going on. I seemed to be able to grab them every time. I'm glad we were the only ones on the lake.

Always around June 1 use to see a lot in Quetico. Even found those slimy things in Lake Trout. Must of fell off trees or something.

Oh I thought this was a thread about that one guy in your group that does not pull his weight, sleeps late on travel days, drinks all you booze, never chops wood, never fills the water filter.

There is one campsite I stay at that is always pretty sluggy. They climb on the mesh part of my tent and leave trails I have to look at when I am laying in there. I am thinking about not staying there anymore. I am tired of those darn slugs. It is kind of a buggy camp also but is nicely situated for fishing.
