Headed in Wednesday and curious how choked up with rice, lily pads and beaver dams it gets this time of year. Any recent info would be appreciated, thanks!

A co-worker just came back from the Moose River EP. They paddled up to the border and the surrounding area. He said that the river had all of the stuff you mention, but it wasn't insurmountable. You should be fine. Paddle on...

I don't know exactly where it was, but there is a bend in the river before you get to Nina Moose going North with a line of rice reeds and a line of huge ferns behind them. I wish I'd stopped to take a picture, but had paddled too far ahead before I thought about it. That would be in early July, but keep an eye out for the huge ferns, they are amazing.

I just got out at noon today, had plenty of rice in the canoe but the route was easy to find and navigate. There is a spot in the river before you enter Lake Agnes that gets a little thick but you can still find your way easily.
