exactly!!

that's one of the beauties i've always found in the wilderness, being "unplugged," whether you want to be or not. seems like as more people travel to the BWCA, it has become more "connected." especially with that 450 ft tall att cell tower

NO CELL SERVICE!!!! How will you ever survive? :)

I didn't say how far south of Smoothrock.

Haven't their efforts been focused on crown lands this year? It sounded like they weren't doing much (at least officially ;) )in WPP proper anymore.

The Wabakimi Project has had teams in the area south of Smoothrock for the past three weeks. Contact Phil Cotton info@wabakimi.org

Headed into Wabakimi PP in a week. Has anybody been to the Smoothrock / Wabakimi Lake area this year, and know of the current conditions in the area?

I'm really excited to take a break from the ever crowding BWCA, and get back to some real wilderness. You can't even get a cell signal up there! woohoo!
