03/26/2018 11:28PM A buddy of mine went to the Falls to get his RABC because he forgot to apply for it. He got it........after a 4 hour or so wait. I suppose each checkpoint is dependent on how busy they are and who the customs folks are that are working that day. Seems easier to me anyway to call them, do a next day delivery of your application and ask if they would email you a copy. |

03/26/2018 10:00AM That was my thought, since you are just a couple of hours to the border, when you get home grab your passport (and your expired RBAC) shoot over to the Soo cross the bridge you are right at Canadian customs. Canadian customs officers are pretty good about hustling things along when your in a bind. |

03/25/2018 07:20AMbillconner: "I believe in theory you can also get one in person at the border crossing, if you could go up early." That's an idea that just might work out for me! I'll check. |

03/25/2018 07:09AM I scanned mine so always with me. (I scan the contents of my wallet every so often in case it's stolen.). But at some point I needed my birth certificate and discovered I could have one mailed to me from birth state. That was a few years ago but you might be able to get a replacement which along with drivers license is enough. I believe in theory you can also get one in person at the border crossing, if you could go up early. |

03/24/2018 10:20PM BnD... good idea, but nobody at home and no one with easy access. GraniteCliffs... yes, I will likely give them a call next week and see if there are any options. Seems like they would have records and copies of my info. Perhaps use those documents and records with an influx of $$$ from me will get me a permit? |

03/24/2018 05:17PM You could consider calling the RABC folks. They have been helpful in the past. If you mail it in when you get home they might be willing to email you a copy of the RABC. I lost mine midyear a few years ago and they were willing to email or text me a copy at no cost. If you explain your situation--and 20 year history--to them I bet they could help you out. |

03/24/2018 04:41PM Master of the obvious but, couldn’t someone that has access to your home mail the necessary docs to you in Florida, or just text a pic, etc... |

03/24/2018 03:00PM I have renewed my RABC permit continuously for 20 years. I am now in Florida until mid-May with a trip planned to enter Canada on Jun 1. My mistake was to not take care of the RABC permit before I left the UP. And now my question is "How can I take care of this without Primary Documentation". I do not have a copy of my passport, birth certificate, or Social Security card. I have never been checked for a border crossing permit in 20 years, but would rather pay the $$$ and follow the Has anybody been in this situation and solved the problem? |
