I did have trouble with inflating mine. I ended up putting my mat in the sun to warm and that helped some. However, I ended up just kind of working the air in until the pump somewhat worked. Biggest issue was the deinflation valve froze on me so I folded my mat in threes and strapped it to my sled to haul out. If you are hot tenting I don't see a problem. I was not. |

03/01/2013 03:06PM I pumped mine up at 20 below. It takes a little longer, but still works just fine. The main tip I'd give you is to unpack it a little while before you want to pump it up - the piece of foam inside that makes the pump chamber "bounce back" takes longer to get to a useful size in the cold. |

12/03/2012 11:00PM I haven't tried the adapter yet with my 9DLX's. I picked up the schnozzle earlier this summer with a few Exped 7 UL's, and they are a breeze to inflate. Will have to get the adapter to use this winter! |

12/02/2012 08:42PM Also have used a couple of the 9DLX for the last several years. Cold has never been an issue with the hand pump. I have however started using the EXPED Schnozzle with the 9DLX adapter to speed up inflation. Much quicker inflation time and the Schnozzle also doubles as a large compression bag etc. |

12/02/2012 12:58PM I used my DLX9 last January in below zero temps and didn't have any issues - worked fine. Remember there is no mositure from blowing it up like some do with thermarest style pads |

12/02/2012 09:05AM Anyone ever have trouble inflating Exped pads with built in hand pump in bitter cold weather?? Have a buddy interested in getting the Exped 9,, and his concern is in -20F or colder that the pump may malfunction. Issues?? |
