Yep, we stayed there in July 2015. Came in from the south via Silence and the many unnamed lakes, and left the next day to the west via Woodside and more unnameds. Both routes are pretty rugged, especially from Silence to Reid. However, we didn't try the direct route from the north end of Agnes into Reid - I'm guessing it's the easy way in. (Which is not to say the best or most adventurous way in.)

We thought the site was pretty nice. It's spacious, has good swimming and good views. Surrounded by open jackpine woods. I'd definitely stay there again. At the same time, I would not rate it as one of my favorite campsites of all times. Very good, but not superlative. Here's a few pictures.

About 10 years ago we went from the Splitrock Falls area to Reid. It was late in the day and we were so tired after the climb from northern Agnes up to Reid that we took the only site we saw, which happened to be at the short portage in the SW corner of Reid. P Planner has it as 1EG. Not much there, just a place to camp. Went on south the next morning and on down the lower parts of the S Chain. Did not fish there.

I stayed at that campsite a couple nights back in 2009 (1EU on the paddle planner map). Nothing to write home about. It had a lot of blowdown, but ample room for tents, decent view, and dryfoot ledgerock landing. Rebuilt the firepit. Supposedly a decent walleye lake, very stained water, but my results were poor.

Campsite definitely exists. I took a tour and opted not to stay. In a grove of jack pine, tall but thin. Fairly open. Did not scout tent sites. There is another rarely used site on the south shore of the main bay of the lake.

Anyone stayed at or been on the campsite on the south end of Reid Lake off Agnes?
