I'd like to do the entire JMT someday. We've only been on it within Yosemite.

Nice, I worked 2 years for Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP.
I've fought fires in every mountain range in the L-48.
The Sierra Nevadas were the prettiest in my book.

The scenery is beautiful. The weather sounded perfect. Maybe another item on the bucket list.

That is totally awesome. What an accomplishment. You guys are the real deal.

Here's two more great Muir quotes for you:

"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity, and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life”

"Wander here a whole summer if you can. Thousands of God’s wild blessings will search you and soak you as if you were a sponge…”
