Good morning! I'm heading north to Ely, MN this summer(early July) and was wondering what is the earliest has anyone picked blueberries? Thanks!

You will need to hope for a warmer than average season with adequate rain to get a bumper crop. By the 10th, we have had some success, Early picking for us tends to be on slopes facing westerly.

Used to find them all of the time when I went on Fourth of July trips.

Tripped early to mid-July on Gunflint side last 3 years, never had trouble finding them.

Late June. But, i wouldn't count on seeing ripe ones by then. Usually mid July - mid August is prime time.

Depending on location it could be anywhere from the 2nd week of July to the first week of August.
