Morchella: "Alder Lake"

Impressive, you got it on the first pic!

My next pic was going to be this one of the creek that enters Alder from East Bearskin. For some reason I can't now recall, I've always referred to this end of the lake as a separate lake called Little Alder Lake, but I reviewed all my maps and that doesn't appear anywhere...so Alder it is!

You're up next, Morchella.

Aha! Well if it helps Alder Lake is one of my most visited lakes and that scene looking across 'Little Alder' is a beautiful one that sticks out in my mind! I will look through my photos and post NTL 105 real soon.

I can't find anything specifically calling it Little Alder, but it seems fitting to me since the water bodies seem hardly connected. I always love paddling through that channel though.

Very cool! Definitely a distinctive horizon view from the end of that portage. I’ve only daytrip-fished “Little Alder” and paddled through and just beyond the channel to explore a bit. Pretty spot. I’m excited to explore Alder more this July on a short family trip through there to see Johnson Falls.
