What's the secret to remove moisture from inside an air mattress? Even using the inflation bag, moisture has accumulated inside my Nemo Tensor Ultralight. I just don't want the inside to get skunky.

Any advice?

No idea if this will work but I would take advantage of the drier interior air this winter and inflate the mattress let it stand upright for a day or two to help any moisture drain towards the biggest valve it has. Repeating this a few times at least. Hopefully between the dry air absorbing some of the moisture and some coming out when deflating it will get most of the moisture out. Good luck

I think the hairdryer idea is the way to go. Inflate/deflate a couple times should take care of any moisture concerns.

I dunno. I’ve been using an inflatable mattress for 30 years and never worried about this. Nor has my mattress ever got funky. Might be a non-issue or a self-created worry.

Absolutely! I need to create these issues for some other gear as well. I need a ready list of reasons to explain to my wife why I'm "putzing with canoe gear again"!

Oh yeah, never thought of failure. I was approaching this from an excess weight issue.

Don't stress about a little condensation while using the pad. REI's advice on hanging pads in a closet or laid-out under the bed with valves open is solid. Storing pads compressed long-term isn't good for insulation (just like sleeping bags and jackets).

My air mattress developed a dozen pin hole leaks. Only visible when putting lots of pressure on the pad
