Entry Point 64 - East Bearskin Lake

East Bearskin Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 26 miles. Motors allowed on East Bearskin Lake only. No motors on Alder and Canoe. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

I'm glad you had a good time with your dad and the injuries weren't serious. I have never been to that area either so it was nice reading a report about it.

Congratulations making it out on your own power. Leg injuries are can really mess things up. You probably helped your dad get over the injury faster by not stressing it too much while it was still swelling. I overdid it too soon after a leg injury on the first day of 7 and had a massive bruise that took weeks to resolve. I've always worried about a back injury while swinging a pack up. Things can go wrong pretty fast. Vermillion sounds miserable. It really makes you appreciate non motor areas. Glad y'all enjoyed the trip.
