Underblog	01/25/2014 02:04PM Have any winter adventurers attempted crossing Burntside this year? I am hoping to hike across next week, but I won't attempt it if the ice is too thin. I heard that a few weeks back there were 17" of ice, but I am somewhat concerned about slush beneath the snow. Would it be safer to stick to established ice roads? I appreciate any wisdom or local information that can be shared.
