My bro and I are planning for our 4th annual three night brotherly bonding trip. We For two years we explored the Poplar area (Lizz, Gaskin, Winchell, Brule, etc.). Last year we put it at Angleworm and came out at Mudro.

Any entry point recommendations for a three night trip? We don't fish and generally like to move each day, though we'd take a layover if the campsite is just right.

I'll put a vote in for the lady chain between Sawbill and Kawishiwi Lake. Can go either direction and use Sawbill outfitters for shuttle if needed. You'd start or end right at their place.

I like the Lady Lakes Chain idea by Cyclones30 it should probably be your first choice.

Couple other options:

Cherokee Loop - Two entries can work
A. Entry 38 Sawbill Lake - Day 1 Sawbill to Cherokee, Day 2 Cherokee to South Temperance Lake, Day 3 - South Temperance to Jack or Kelly Lake. Day 4 Out to Sawbill

B. Entry 39 - Baker Lake - Day 1 Baker to South Temperance, Day 2 South Temperance to Cherokee, Day 3 Cherokee to north Sawbill or Smoke Lake, Day 4 Out to Baker Lake.

Little Sag Loop: Requires a shuttle
Entry 54 Sea Gull Lake - Day 1 Sea Gull to Ogishkemuncie Lake. Day 2 Ogishkemuncie to Little Sag. Day 3 Little Sag to Crooked (souther route through Mora and Tarry) or Gillis (northern route through Virgin, West Fern, Powell, and Fern). Day 4 Out to Round Lake (Bat, Green, Flying, Gotter, Brant, Edith, West Round, Round.)

Day 1: EP 23 Mudro (even though you've been through here), head up through horse river, check out Basswood Falls and go a few miles north of Basswood falls for camp. (roughly 12-13 miles day 1)
Day 2: work your way up crooked and curl down through Friday Bay and down into Gun or Fairy. (14-15 miles day 2)
Day 3: Exit through Boot, Fourtown, Mudro. (roughly 7-8 miles to exit)

Total distance is in the neighborhood of 36 miles in 3 days. Attractions along the way will be Horse River (very cool to navigate through), Basswood Falls, Pictographs and table rock. You will encounter a 1 mile portage, but it's the easiest mile portage in the BW's.

Good Luck choosing and enjoy your 4th Annual Bro Row!

Maybe try this trip? Quintet finds quiet solitude on Quadga Lake ..and then after 1st night paddle over to Bald Eagle Lake area camp there and then exit via the Snake River.

And Kawishiwi Lake is EP #37. You can start at either one and end at the other. When I use a shuttle I prefer to have it on the front end with my car waiting at the end. That way I'm not trying to make a meeting time at the exit. You could also do an out-and-back from either EP.
