Anybody put in on Kawishiwi lake to Malberg? What are the portages like? looks like there is a river from Baskatong to Lake Polly is this accessible or do i need to portage from Kawasachong to polly? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes, you need to portage from Kawasachong to Polly. The two portages are almost a mile long total. If you double portage, you'll walk a little over 2.5 miles. The portages both have some elevation gain but are not overly difficult otherwise. They are however separated by only a 3-minute paddle.

As boonie stated, it's not navigable by canoe. The portages are very easy, darn near flat.

I've been down the river from Kawasachong to Polly. Take the other's advice and do the portages. They are faster and easier than down the river.
