07/02/2019 11:06AM Fisher F-16 works great. Centered on EP16 but you could loop that to EP14 or EP19 on this map. includes all of what you describe. It cuts off the far east side of Iron at the falls. |

06/27/2019 09:57PMGopherAdventure: "Try Voyageur Map #2. The Voyageur maps have quickly become my favorite. I’ve found that they have more precise portage, campsite and contour markings. They have way more lake depth contours then the other guys and they have an index that shows what species of fish are in the lakes on the map. The only downside is that they’re hard to find. I know a few places in the Twin Cities have them and a handful of Ely outfitters as well. Another great thing about these maps is that they’re made by a guy who fights to protect the BW (he’s highly involved with Friends of the BWCA) and is an avid paddler himself. Ditto, I've come to really like the map as well as the other info. Fishing, geologic history of each area, etc. I ordered my last couple online. I usually have that plus a full set of Mackenzie or Fisher and sometimes also the Nat Geo. They don't weigh that much... |

06/27/2019 09:56AM If you are already somewhat familiar with the area, take a look at the National Geographic BWCA map for the West side. It covers the whole area with campsites and portages. Only around $10-$12. |

06/27/2019 09:21AM I am entering EP 16 and the route is north through Boulder then east into Iron. It has been about 15 years since I have taken that route. I need maps. My kids and I like to fish, explore, etc. I am very familiar the the route, so I am looking for map recommendations where the priority is getting the most map for the money. As I remember, it took several maps the last time I took the trip. |
