I wonder if those ticketed were Americans in Canadian canoes? An outfitter canoe would be required to follow the rules. Anecdotally I've been stopped 3x in the Q and never had an issue and I just have life jackets as MN law requires. T |

Are the outfitters saying that Canadians are being ticketed for not having a throwbag, or are those with non-Canadian canoes being ticketed? The law does differentiate between the two categories. |

09/14/2017 07:33AM I saw in one posting that a throw bag is required for all canoes in the Quetico. Is this correct? And do you bring a throw bag? I imagine I could pick one up at William and Hall if necessary. |
