10/21/2020 01:49PM Enjoyed your report, thanks for sharing. It was very interesting reading about the old, long forgotten, portage trails and some of the folks that used them. Do you have any books or other resources that you'd recommend if a person wanted to learn more about them? |

10/18/2020 07:55PM Interesting route, Tom. I've been on several sections of the route on various trips over the years. I came out at Kawishiwi Lake the 29th, stayed at the campground overnight, and had a pleasant chat with your trip coordinator and friend. |

10/18/2020 06:52PM Hi Tom! Love the history woven thru the trip report. Was your trip intended to rediscover this circle route? The educational aspect of forest regeneration and beaver activity and water levels is all very interesting. The lack of wildlife is sad. Perhaps they were just on a different route than your party? :). Was it difficult getting two permits for your party to travel and camp separately? The old photos are great and more would be great! |
