As new owners last year, we brought back the canoe outfitting to our offerings at the Lodge of Whispering Pines. In the weeks to come you will see more detailed descriptions of our incredible entry points, canoe rental prices, canoe transport costs, bunkhouse offerings and outfitting prices for packs and paddles.
There are permits available daily just a few minutes outside of our Lodge and Outfitting Base! There are 2 daily that depart from our dockside and excellent lake based campsites that need no permit at all!! Call us to discuss more about these exciting options for your group. Our premiere lodge and cabins are an excellent base camp option if your group wants day trip options.

Ely, MN
OBJECTIVE
Reliable, outdoors-oriented dock hand seeking a seasonal position at an off-grid
wilderness resort. Experienced with boats, docks, guest service, and hands-on
maintenance. Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while providing
friendly, safety-focused service to guests.
AVAILABILITY
? Available June 1 – October 1, 2026
? Willing and able to live on-site in provided housing
? Comfortable working flexible hours including weekends

RELEVANT SKILLS
? Boat docking, tying, and securing
? Fueling boats and basic marina operations
? Customer service and guest assistance
? Luggage handling and ice delivery
? Dock, restroom, and fish-cleaning station cleaning
? Safety monitoring and hazard reporting
? Waste disposal and sewage pump-out assistance
? Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
? Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Pay: $1,000 monthly ( half paid on the 1st and half on the 15th of each month)
