Just came back from Sarah Lake in Quetico. Caught over a dozen lakers trolling blue, deep diving Rapalas and Little Cleo's and also red and yellow deep divers, 13'-20'. The technique we use is to cast your lure out gently so not to foul the line, let out about 30-35 feet of line, hold the butt end of your rod between your crossed feet and let the rod rest wedged against your knee. You and your partner start paddling and wait for the lakers to hit the lure. Nothing to it!

its been almost a month since i was there, . but the water hasnt warmed up much, i would think deep diving crankbaits should get the job done, there's been some post about letting out 100' of line and your crankbait can dive deeper? something that gets down to atleast 15'. sometimes just S trolling in open water can catch lakers that are following schools of cisco's. caught a few in nomans land.

My friends and I caught a few last weekend in 20 to 30 feet of water using deep diving crank baits. A purple and pink reef runner worked well. Surface water temps were in the mid 50's

Picked these up yesterday coming back out after a five day trip. Caught them at 10-12 footers going in and only caught them on 20 footers coming out. Must have been a water temp change over the five days.

Seagull Outfitters dock to be precise. We needed to rent a canoe for our group. Can I just say that they are awesome to work with? Oops, guess I just did.
