This is a pretty open and flat site. The trees sit on the west and north sides of the island so they are a good wind block if it is coming from that direction. There are a couple capable trees for a tarp set up. The fire pit is pretty exposed however. The landing is flat and easy to pull up to. The best part about this site is the great fishing in the two bays north of the island. We had great luck with bass and northern. I've stayed on two sites on this lake and this one is my favorite so far.

Really enjoyed this site! The only negative was the exposed fire grate, but as long as the wind wasn't pushing smoke back at us, it provided a perfect view of the lake. Could easily fit 3-4 tents. The walk to the latrine was nice and easy. Caught some walleye on the north side of the island!

Great site that's a straight shot from the #35 entry point. Sheltered landings with easy grades. Nice panorama cook spot - a little exposed, but we were able to string up a tarp that handled strong wind and rain without a problem. Simple log benches. Good sheltered spots for two tents - could fit more, but might be crowded or overuse a popular spot. Limited firewood that's easily accessible though we had some good success sawing and splitting some nice cedar downed on the beach. Otherwise, there's a lot of downed wood in the surrounding areas.

Excellent landings that offer some wind protection. Firegrate is a little exposed but still offers shade & wind protection. Log seating was sub par but, there are several natural rock formations that exquisitely serve as chairs and sitting areas. Trails running all over the island providing shore access in several spots for fishing etc. For the most part this site avoided the worst of Pagami but, there are still a few areas of fallen trees on the backside that can provide firewood. Lots of raspberries too.

Nice little island, but perhaps a bit over-used. Firewood available on far side of island. Good tent sites for 3 tents...more at old campsite on N. side, but give that area a break. Trails cross the island, ready access to almost every shoreline. Fire grate exposed to E and S winds. Rocks offshore make for easy loss of sinking fishing lures. ;-)
