Camp Notes:
This is a very nice site. It has a spacious rock front porch and plenty of spots for tents. The fire pit it set back a ways but still has a view of the water. There is ample space for landing. Good depth for swimming off the rocks. Probably decent ficshing too, but we didn't have any luck in late July. The campsite is well used, but that is to be expected for a busy lake like Ensign.

Nearly perfect campsite. 3 decent tent pads. Amazing rock patio out front for perfect views of the west and sunsets. Bald eagles were our neighbors. Great smallmouth fishing around the point to the west and south on the edge of the weedy inlet. Main cons were noisy neighbors. Ensign is a busy lake and there are many campsites that get filled quickly. Fishing was no good from the rocky patio. Great trees for hammocks and bear bags.

3 of us spent five days at the campsite. 9/10/21 to 9/15/21. Fire ban at the time. Great stargazing site. We used two hammocks/one tent. Able to do a proper bear bag with some creativity and two trees. Family of nearby bald eagles kept us company and a black wolf visited us early one morning. Would be happy to camp here again.

Great campsite, spend four days there. Good tent pads, trees for hammocks and tarp. Several eagles in the area and saw a black wolf about 25 yards from camp. Fishing not good in front of site. I would use it again.

One of my favorite sites! Great views. Plenty of tent and hammock space. The flat rocks out front are perfect for stargazing. I stop by and use this site every year if it’s open.

Can't really add anything to what others have said. It was a great site for our two-tent group (four adults, a two year old and a Chihuahua). Wouldn't be easy to add many more tents. Bugs weren't too problematic. A great place for a four day base camp.

Camp Notes:
Canoe landing is decent. There are adequate tent pads. The Firegrate area is spacious and while there are trees for a hammock and hanging tarps, you must be creative for hanging food. The main area of camp is secluded, allowing escape from sun or wind, but there is a lengthy, multi-tiered veranda for sun bathing, relaxing and fishing (although our fishing luck was not in front of the camp). The veranda sunsets and stargazing were exceptional.

Great location with good breeze. Nice flat grassy site near lake to hang out. Easy boat landing and nice area to swim with sandals (a bit rocky). Enough flat areas for 2 - 3 tents. The site is on the opposite side of the pennisula, not in the bay (it's parallel to the large open water of Ensign). Great area to cast and fish. We had a great time.
