Just got back from a 200 mile canoe trip through BWCA. Paddled a Northstar 20’ with 3 paddlers. It was one of the best canoes ive paddled and fished out of. Even with 3 it was comfortable to fish and paddle, and made portaging easy with one canoe and 3 packs....

Depends on how much fishing you're planning on doing from the canoe. Upside is that you’ll be faster on portages/water and it’ll cost less if you’re renting, but it might feel crowded trying to cast with three in the boat. It’s mostly a matter of personal preference.

Had a person cancel we are down to three. What do you all think, 3 large semi-
fit adults in one canoe or a second 14 foot canoe?

Did this last year. Perfect plan. Beautiful area.

Double portaging as i do this should be moderate or easy. That loop off Bald Eagle is on of my favorites. You can base on Bald Eagle and daytrip the loop.

Bald Eagle site #1723 (which we enjoyed) to EP 32 - about 4-1/2 hours.

I was wondering if anyone had information going from the Kiwishiwi River to Gabbro to Turtle and Clearwater back down to Gull and Bald Eagle lakes. We are thinking three nights, but can extend.

What is a realistic time from going from Bald Eagle and ending at entry point 32?
