Kawnipi to Montgomery portage

Kiporby	06/26/2018 01:05PM On the Kawnipi side, the portage is west of that swamping (creek) area. I had trouble finding it as well.
Minnesotian	06/23/2018 10:14AM I thought the landing on the Montgomery side was nice: I was just there last September, and sorry Thwarted, I didn't see any paddle around there.
Thwarted	06/22/2018 07:53PM Shoreline but not obvious from the Kaw side. Neither end has a nice landing. If you go please look for my wife's new Whiskey Jill paddle that I left around there two years ago. My buddies and I were using it as a spare. Dumb.
Banksiana	06/21/2018 03:27PM There is no creek that flows between Montgomery and Kawnipi (Montgomery drains into Shelley). The portage is along the shoreline south and west of the center of the bay- a pretty trail. The location on the Chrismar Map is accurate.
AmarilloJim	06/21/2018 02:00PM Does the Kawnipi end start somewhere up the creek or does it start along the shoreline to the west of the creek? I thought it was in the creek and just abandoned this day trip because I couldn't find it. I definitely need my readers for the details on maps now.
