Entry 84 to Bald Eagle

Hope you have a great time and enjoy your stay. Tony" This crappie thing just amazes me,how the crappie population has increased so dramatically in many lakes in the BWCA. Especially Basswood,Gabro and now Bald Eagle. Done the Snake many times and great spot to see Moos(what's left) right when you enter Bald Eagle.
anthonyp007	08/07/2018 09:32PM Bugs were thick on the portages and in camp for the first 30-40 minutes at dusk. My 4 year old daughter was with me and she wore her head net on the portages. There was a pretty good breeze all weekend so that probably helped keep them out of camp. Tony

canoedog	08/03/2018 10:59AM Thanks guys, looks like we can make the drive from Minneapolis to entry and into Bald Eagle by afternoon.

egknuti	08/02/2018 04:55PM I haven’t done it in a few years but I do believe it’s less than 2 hours to the south end of Bald Eagle.
canoedog	08/02/2018 03:02PM So how is the paddle on the Snake to Bald Eagle? Going in on September 1. Headed to Bald Eagle and out Little Grabbro. Any thoughts are appreciated.
