Whenever I try to coordinate my trip to coincide with the Perseids meteor shower peak on 8/12 I am also lucky when it comes to blueberries. It helps to be in the "right" areas though, otherwise they can be difficult to locate and less plentiful.

If the Ham & Cavity Lake Fire areas are any indicator, the Pagami Creek Fire area should be prime habitat within the next couple years if not already.

Wow, that is a haul. We go too early for berries, but that has to be an amazing treat after a long day on the water.

paddlinjoe: "I'd say mid-July to early August. As a bonus, the Ely Blueberry festival is sometime in the last week of July." Yup!

The best time for blueberries can vary depending on the location. The areas I frequent tend to be the best during the last week in July and the first week in August.
