Thanks for the tips guys. I've heard about the waves on Snowbank, we'll get an early start so hopefully it wont be to bad.

Cattyman Falls is awesome and should be gushing in late June. Jordan is a lovely lake that we didn't stop on, but would like to check out again someday. Ima might have been nice but when I was there we had 20-25mph winds and just finding a site safely was stressful. We ended up staying at #1199 on the south side, near the portage to Alworth. There was a TON of blowdown all over that area and just going to the latrine was an adventure. Kitchen area was pretty exposed to wind but had a nice view, especially of the sunset. Had a ton of mosquitoes in the evening for about an hour and a half, worst of the trip I think (in early June). I would not stay there again because the only tent pad had a widowmaker right above the pad, supported by a few other large trees. I didn't want to be under it when one of those trees decided to give. I would recommend looking for a site on the west side or the east side (or the north side of the big island).

A few things. Beware of the wind on Snowbank. The portage to Disappointment is very nice, and the put-in at Snowbank is a dock. Not so much of a problem with two people, but it sucks for a solo paddler.

Our Scout troop did a trip up that way a few years ago. We had two crews going in opposite directions of a loop from Snowbank to Knife back to Snowbank via Kek and Thomas. We camped on Jordan and, sadly, nobody wanted to go back to see the falls by the time we got to Jordan.

The site we had on Jordan was nice, albeit a little small for our group of seven. I'd like to go back there someday to check out the fishing. We were at the southernmost site and it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves.

It's been about 15 years since my last trip and I can't wait to get back. Entering Snowbank Lake June 23rd with my 14 year old daughter. The plan is to head to Disappointment and maybe on up to Ima. I've been searching the boards about that area but if anyone has any tips on good fishing, campsites or anything else in that area, I'd appreciate any info. Plan on seeing Cattyman falls.
