Ours were all marked up with pencil/pen/sharpie on fishing spots, campsites that weren't on the map, etc, haha.

I have a couple McKenzie's for Fall Lake and Moose lake, they are great too...but I've always gone to the fisher maps...not sure why, haha. Like I said, I miss the old onion paper maps....call me nostalgic, but they take me back to the first trips my dad and I took in the late 80's. "

Yup, I have some of those in my map files. My old Fishers were that super small poor resolution and some how we got along just fine. Guess we didn't know any different.

TipsyPaddler: "F-4, F-10 and F-11 or F-31. I recommend F-31.

It is a popular route and probaby why Fisher developed F-31 to reduce the number of maps needed in the Numbered Lakes area. F-32 is a similar solution for the popular area around South Arm of Knife (SAK)."

Thanks! I wished Fisher would go back to the old paper they printed their maps on, but the new ones seem to have more detail to them. I still have my maps for other trips I took in a bygone age, some dating back to the 80's. My dad had a numbered lakes map, but it has long disappeared, and I am sure the campsites are likely marked different from the 30 year old map. The old style was more compact if I remember right, but I like the newer ones because they have more detail.

The maps overlap...hence why I am asking. Which map(s) would be best for this route?

I'm heading out to Insula at the end of May, which Fisher maps do I need? I may also (instead of Insula) head up to Fire Lake (off Hudson). I might go past Insula...but I'm playing it safe this trip since I am by myself and only have 4-5 days to explore.
