04/22/2019 07:37PM Have fun with cliff jumping. I always had my swim goggles and used them to thoroughly check the area below any cliffs and well down into the water. On trips with my youngest and adventurous daughter and nephews we always jumped without any problems. Everyone always used their vest. With a bit of precaution you will be fine. I was a Red Cross WSI from back in the late 1960’s and as I recall safety was drilled into us during the training. |

04/22/2019 06:47PM Agnes has plenty of cliffs on it. Never had time to check any out for jumping but there are some big ones! Don't forget the petroglyphs. |

04/22/2019 06:00PM Did you know that cliff jumping can be dangerous...haha just kidding. Not sure what the S chain is but if it is Shade, Summer, Sultry, Silence, then this could be on your route. Isabella Lake has a great campsite, south shore roughly mid lake if I remember correctly, high up from the water, very spacious with great views. Also a tremendous cliff jumping rock - don't remember how high it was but I know it made a couple of 20 year old guys a little nervous at first. However this was 43 years ago but i doubt much has changed. As a side note, we got hit by momma bear with two cubs three times the next morning, lost some food and had a good scare when she lunged at a guy. But like I said, that was 43 years ago, doubt shes around harassing campers anymore:) |

04/22/2019 03:56PM I used to jump cliffs when I was younger. Since I have added a fish finder to my gear, I always check the water depths of any potential cliff jumping sites. I don’t remember specifics, but do recall jumping into some cold Agnes waters. |

04/22/2019 02:22PM The 12 year-old grandsons love swimming and cliff jumping. They spent hours on the Beth Lake cliffs last August but grandpa would like to take them to Quetico where the fishing might be more interesting. We would enter at Prairie Portage and probably do an "S" Chain/Agnes loop so we would visit Louisa Falls. Any other lakes in that neck of the woods with good swimming and cliff jumping potential? ( I know there are people who will disapprove of this post--please don't waste your time lecturing me--thanks).
