Here is the link to MN 2018 statute saying it's not required in MN if your state doesn't require it.

You don't have to. You get like a 90 day grace period if from another state.

I am planning a first time solo trip and I see I need to have my canoe registered. This is not required in my state. Does anyone know if this is something I can do at the Tofte station when I pick up my permit or do I need to go to a different office. Newbie so any help would be appreciated.
