07/10/2019 04:51PM There aren't any fish in Big Moose. It winter killed this year. Stay away. J/K Sorry. You should be fine fishing just about anywhere. Lake is shallow they don't have any place to hide. |

07/06/2019 09:53PM I'm another Big Moose fan. You will not be alone but it is a big lake. I've stayed at the 3 northern campsites and they are all good. The fishing has been great for our crew in May and July. Find the reef in the middle and your fishing success will improve considerably. |

07/04/2019 12:02PM Another nod to Big Moose. The beavers do a pretty good job of keeping the river at a descent depth MOST of the season. |

07/04/2019 11:46AM I’d second Big Moose. While there will be other campers there, it will be far less than Wood. Usually decent walleye and bass fishing. You may also see day hikers from the hiking trail. The only thing I would worry about are the water levels of the river. Sometimes it can get quite low making travel somewhat difficult. Maybe check with an outfitter. |

07/03/2019 01:18PM Which would you all suggest? I have five days. I want to fish and avoid crowds like everybody else. Thinking of camping on Moose and exploring the PMA in my inflatable. I don’t mind long portages at all. I’ve read reports on both and it seems both are hit and miss, especially mid-summer. Any suggestions or current info? Thanks for any help. |
