08/18/2019 02:33AM Thanks for the report. We did a similar route there a few years back. That 210 rod portage was the longest my son had done at that point in his life, but he read the map wrong and thought it was 120 rod. He tried valiantly to complete it without setting his pack down and made it to about 180 rods before stopping. He was spitting mad at me because he figured I lied to him by not pointing out his misread. Fortunately he forgave me before our trip the next year. Glad you had a successful trip! |

08/14/2019 04:05PM We were right behind you. Camped at site 1142 just before the 210 rod portage on the 25th. That wind was brutal. One of our other crews (we had 3 out that week) actually passed the girls that were evacuated before the storm hit. |
