I can't speak for their cabins & bunks, but Echo Trail Outfitters did me a solid and opened 90 minutes early to rent a canoe & issue a permit back in September 2011. If I'm ever up the trail in the future I'll do my best to give them some additional business.

Echo Trail Outfitters / Fenske Lake Cabins is not far from Stuart. Have stayed in their bunkhouses before, very convenient for any EP on the Echo Trail.

You have quite a few options on the Echo Trail, and all of the “in town” Ely outfitters service the Echo Trail as well. Anderson’s is great, they’re at Crane Lake. There’s a few others in the area of Big Lake, Echo Shores and a few others, but not sure how much outfitting they do.

Already doing some planning for next year and we are looking at the NW section of the BWCA - the Stuart, Moose, Little Indian Sioux area. Is Big Lake Lodge the only outfitter up in that area? I did some Google searching and that's all I could find. Am I missing anyone else?
