Yup I made the paddle.

Thank you for the information. We are going to fish Wind for several days and see what we can come up with. The last week of September has always been hit or miss for our group fishing. We don't bring any live bait in.

Did you make the paddle? It is really nice. I was just on Wind Lake for my first time two days ago. I don't have much info to help as I was only there for a bit and did not fish. However the site on the middle island that I had lunch at does not show up on this websites map. It is marked with a purple/blue (picture) dot on here though. I would not go to this site. Also I looked at the southern one in the big bay and that did not look good either.

As far as fishing I went down with my 4 year old and she casted from the dock with a yellow version of this and first cast caught a nice small mouth. So if that tells you anything about the bass style lol I doubt it but maybe.

Hope you have a great time.

Hello everyone. It has been awhile since my last post and I am excited to announce a new addition to the nelson arsenal. I just finished up my new baby and wanted to show it off. Rockhopper is made of cherry and red maple, fiberglass resin reinforced blade (see below)

Now to the real business. I have never been to Wind Lake and I was curious if anyone has advice on camp sites that would be good for 4 hammock campers? I think the one in the big bay to the north looks good and also the campsite to on the southern arm to the far east. Anyone been to them?

Looks like the weather has been warm and I am curious are you seeing fish still in their summer pattern or has there been a shift to the fall pattern?
