01/14/2020 01:51PM I have been to all the major attractions you have listed. One idea would be to take a shore line quietly paddled from early on in the day and look for any wild life. You could travel several miles and really get to know your area of the lake. If in blueberry season, I have seen nice berries on some of the islands where open sunshine can stream through. Ridges seem really good for this. Take a container and enjoy some blueberry pancakes the next morning. Desert of plain berries is good also. You can eat a snack for as long as you wish if you get into a good patch of berries. I have never seen a bear sharing space on one of these efforts, but keep an eye out for that possibility. |

01/13/2020 02:40PM Planning to base camp near Tiger Bay on LLC...we have done day trips to Iron Lake / Curtain Falls / Rebecca Falls, plus Warrior Hill and the Pictographs and plan to repeat each of those...looking for new suggestions heading west or north into Canada. (We are getting our RABC permits to visit Rebecca anyhow.) What other landmarks would you suggest for day trips? Thanks as always for your help. |
