Hello BWCA -
Taking my 11 year old son up in late June/early July of 2020. Going in on Nym/staying on Batchewaung and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a day trip or even an overnighter from there.

I've always gone in at Stanton Bay and made my way through B chain or Dore down to Russell and those parts. I've read Jesse is a pretty lake and not too hard to get to from Batch but 10 miles with a pre-teen may be too much.

This trip is later than I usually go so I'd also be interested in recommendations for fishing techniques or moose haunts. I imagine the Pickerel narrows will be good. I don't plan on spending a lot of time chasing lakers and I'm guessing the smallies will be spawned out by then. Walleye dinners would be nice! Hope we'll finally hit the blueberries too.

Canoe Canada will be down here at the Boat Sport and Travel show and I hope to pick Shane's brain on it too.

Tight lines, much appreciated and thanks in advance!
