04/05/2020 02:53PM Like others have said, ask the people at Clearwater lodge. Kind of hard to spot the start of the trail from the lake. Be sure to bring a rope to tie the boat off. There’s no place to land and pull a boat or canoe up on shore. |

04/04/2020 09:37AM Neither a waterfall nor a cliff, but also an incredible view— beach your boat and hike the portage to Mountain Lake. Halfway up the portage you’ll intersect the Border Route Trail. I think you take the BRT East maybe 1/4 mile and you’ll find the mountain lake overlook. This trip report may be of interest to you. Enjoy, this is my favorite part of the bwca! |

04/03/2020 06:29PM The palisades on Clearwater are visible from the lodge/outfitters shoreline. You can get there via paddle or motor. No real falls that I'm aware of. |
