06/01/2020 07:47AM I am sitting here chuckling and am delighted. Nice to have options. One thing I do know is that I expect to be eating walleye somewhere in that vicinity on the 21st of July. Thanks! |

05/31/2020 11:57PM Walleye fishing is really good on amber also, we stayed at the eastern campsite and caught all the walleye we could eat within 200 yards of camp |

05/31/2020 11:16AM We were thinking about the island site. I had lunch there several years ago and would like to camp there. That is actually the planned site but if taken then Amber would be the backup. I did not know about the walleye on the point so.... Thanks! |

05/30/2020 07:36PM We were there in mid July and it was easily navigable. The eastern site on amber is a gem with an really nice sand beach. BTW the southern site on the island on River Lake just north of Amber is a great site too and close to some really good walleye fishing. |

05/30/2020 01:50PM When the water is high enough. We went in late September and had to maneuver through a bunch of rock/boulder stuff. I thought river lake was very pretty. I was overcome with a sense of peace while paddling thru, and also felt I was being watched over... not just watched. |

05/30/2020 12:31PM Nice area. We were there this time of year a few years back. Expect to walk through ankle plus water in the middle of the portage NW out of Malberg to River Lake. |

05/30/2020 09:46AM Our route this summer takes us up the Kawishiwi. Itinerary puts us looking for a site near River Lake. There is a marked waterway between Amber Lake and the Kawishiwi. Does anyone know is this is navigable? Thanks! |
