Jonesy	07/10/2020 10:02PM ghamer, My family really enjoyed your video. We got to the part where you camped on Karl Lake on Saturday 5/30 and had a huge “No Way” moment. My family put in on Cross Bay Sunday morning (5/31) and camped at the same site that night (the night after you). We always wanted to thank whomever left the wonderfully large supply of split firewood that we enjoyed over next two days (we refilled the stack before we went down to Long Island). We camped Tues/Wed on Long Island on site 561 (east central north shore site). We think we saw you stop for a break on the adjacent island site. Thank you again for the firewood and for the beautiful memories and photos. Jonesy

We had a couple of claims on smaller cameras, but never one on the DSLR. But I figured if I was going on a canoe trip and enjoyed photography, that I should take my best equipment. The insurance doesn't cost that much and the peace of mind is priceless. Out of curiosity, were you able to save the photos on the memory card? Our grandchildren took my Panasonic Waterproof Camera on a stingray outing in the Bahamas a couple years ago. I forgot to tell them that there was a time limit for total immersion. The camera was toast, but all of their photos were still OK on the card. I was surprised by that. There are so many videos posted and now that I can no longer do canoe-tripping they all make me cry. So I just skip them. I make an exception for yours because the photography is always so exquisite, and you have a real talent for putting it all together. Thanks again. " Yes, the photos were intact on the memory card... although, I had only taken 41 photos up until that point. Thanks again for watching!

Spartan2 - the 5D IV was insured and I already have the replacement... kudos to State Farm for outstanding service! I had a total of 4 cameras with me... the one that died, a Canon 7D Mark II, a Canon G5X II (point and shoot) and a GoPro for video. So, I had some decent backup cameras. Also, thank you much for watching... even if you did turn down the music :-)
Spartan2	06/20/2020 06:21PM Masterful and beautiful, as yours always are, Gary. Your videos are the only ones I watch, as I know they will be breathtaking. (I am an odd one--I turn the music off completely and I enjoy it more.) I have to ask--if you ruined a 5D Mark IV, then what did you use to take these wonderful photos? And I hope the 5D was insured. :-) We had been on this whole trip, except for Snipe Lake. It brought back some nice memories and it was so artistically filmed and assembled. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
