probably also meant "woman" vs "girl" -- don't want the ranger station in trouble for child labor!

We hiked it in October last year. It's less traveled than snowbank and the Kek for sure but easy enough to follow and has seen a lot more traffic this year than last. We downloaded a gpx file of the trail and put it on a garmin etrex and garmin fenix, and also brought a map and compass. I'd do all of those steps again, as the NE section is beaverey and brushy and might be slightly overgrown; that was the lightest traveled section last fall.

Three full days should be enough to complete the loop if you're motivated. We did it in one full day and two partial days but we are pretty ultralight, motivated, and in shape.

I haven't been on the trail this year, but I'd recommend some sort of GPS in addition to map + compass. I used an app on my phone and it saved my butt a few times a couple years ago. There were plenty of times it was hard to follow the trail and you'll likely be the only one out there, better safe than sorry. Enjoy the hike!

I meant loser, not lover.

Hello. I am planning a solo trip (I am a lover, no friends) this month to hike the entire Sioux Huslter Trail loop. The girl at the ranger station told me over the phone today that she thinks it is in OK shape, but to bring an F16 Fisher map and compass. Does anyone else have additional intel, and is 3 days enough time to complete it? Thanks
