08/28/2020 05:10PM And....i don't think the Moosecamp river has been a fun time either this summer. May want to call an outfitter on water levels there. |

08/28/2020 02:24PM Paddling from Hegman to Nels is not possible-unless you're up for some good bushwhacking. Also, Trying to get from Mudro to Nels may also be a problem. There is a portage out of Picket that goes to a beaver pond. The pond is no longer there. I didn't continue as it didn't seem an easy route, nor could I find the next portage. I'm sure it's there, but I was only day tripping and wasn't up for the challenge. I've tried finding the portage from the Nels end and couldn't find that either-but that was a long time ago. |

08/28/2020 01:57PM I'm looking at doing a October Solo trip entering at Mudro L. paddle up to Beartrap L. then over and down the Moosecamp.R back heading west into Gull L. down thru Angleworm L. South Hegman L. has anyone paddled down the creek from Hegman into Nels L., Picket L. to the mudro parking lot. My thought is to do a figure eight pattern, I'm in no rush and have plenty of time for the trip my thought is around eight to ten days. I just plan on paddling, sleeping, watching the sun come up and set. |
