12/06/2020 08:40AM Great report to read. It is so much fun to see how much stronger and confident our kids grow each year on wilderness trips. Just your son realizing how much more confident he felt starting this trip compared to his first trip was worth it. I love that you got your fishing net back! I, too, was starting to feel irritation that the group stayed so long at your site uninvited. But then to have it turn out like that, definitely karma as you say. We did that exact same route August 5-8 in order to take my son's girlfriend on her first BWCA canoe trip. I am still trying to finish up my trip report so you are faster than me. |

12/05/2020 07:28PM Nice trip report. Your trip reminds me of several I took with my youngest daughter who was probably about the age of your son. She is in her mid 40’s now and occasionally brings up memories of those early trips. You are really building some lifelong memories with your son. |
