In my experience, both can be busy depending on the time of year. Each has a decent length portage between the entry and lake but that doesn't keep many away. The portages to Polly are easier than the ankle breakers between Mudro and Fourtown. Things to see? Hmm....nothing amazing comes to mind right away. I like the fishing of the Fairy area better as the small lakes give you better options. If Gun is good it's right there, or Thunder or Boot. Polly you're kind of a little ways from other lakes. Polly can have bear issues at times but who knows where or when

I am beginning to plan a BWCA trip for next summer was just wondering what you guys would recommend between these two trip options. Really looking to Fish for aggressive fish like pike and bas might throw in some walleye fishing for dinner. I know Lake Polly has a lot of campsites and is a large lake does seeing other people and having them pressure the fish effect you experience/ Fishing?
The Mudro to Fairy lake route how are the portages and fishing up there? I am assuming that that the fishing and amount of people isn't as bad as there are multiple portages to get there.
Also what are your favorite lures for smallmouth and Pike, Walleyes we mainly jig for and run lindy rigs but, I have been running Rapalas and Berkely Flicker Shads. Which keep me engaged and proved effect last year on my two trips to Ham Lake and Lake Agnes.
Is there any cool sights that set these two trips potentially apart from one and other?
Thanks for the feedback!!
