01/19/2021 03:46PM 33 is a 2 permit EP so there's not a ton of traffic from that direction. The problem is there's 2 other fairly easy ways to get in there. Most of the people are passing through but you'll see several boats. |

01/17/2021 05:23PM Gabbro gets fished a ton. Tough to catch anything worth while. It is busy. We were there last September and I won't go back unless it's the only option for a weekend get way |

01/15/2021 09:00AM Agreed, holiday weekend...if it's nice weather and not far from an EP you'll see others. Different people have different ideas on what "busy" means though |

01/15/2021 08:56AM I was in on Gabbro over Labor Day weekend two years ago and while we were certainly not the only ones on the lake, there seemed to be room for everyone. We entered at Farm Lake and came into Gabbro from that direction. Don't recall encountering any wait times at portages. Stayed at site #1712 on the west side of Gabbro and liked it. Check it it out! |

01/15/2021 08:43AM I think most lakes will be busy on any holiday weekend.. |

01/14/2021 09:59PM Ok, I just did a post about Pipestone on Labor Day, but Gabbro is another option. With the proximity to the EP and minimal portaging, I'm worried Gabbro may be a busy lake. Is that true at the end of the summer? It looks like it has a lot of nice, large sites, which would be great for us. Also fishing reports seem to be pretty good. Any thoughts on the lake and fishing that time of year? |
