Also is it hard to get a permit for this entry point. Thanks for any information" Yes it is hard to get a permit. Maybe the most desired permits. Try for motor over night. Yes it is worth it. Basswood is a big lake and can be tough to fish. Be prepared for weather and wind. Or it could be 80 and sunny.

TaylorRN	01/17/2021 04:08PM Canoe or boat? Whenever my brother suggests going to basswood I say hell no. As a canoeist I don’t want to deal with motor boats. That said there is excellent fishing in basswood.
