We only saw one other person on this entire route and it was someone heading in solo to do some fishing for the day. None of the campsites were taken, we had the pick of the litter. |

05/05/2021 08:16PM You're welcome-happy to share-we had a blast. Wendell is an Australian Shepard mix, all we know is that his mother was an Aussie. Father totally could have been a border collie, judging by the way he looks (his mom was a ruby-colored aussie). |

05/02/2021 05:39PM Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed that emmensly. We just got a new dog in late November. Interestingly, we named her Lucy. I hope she will learn to go on trips with me as well as your Wendell has. |

05/02/2021 03:24PM It was almost a full 10 days after ice-out up here in Ely, but I finally got out for a quick overnight paddle with some friends. We hit up the Kawishiwi Triangle Loop heading out of Lake One, starting early morning after a snowstorm had just blanketed the Northland in about an inch of fresh snow. By mid-day the sun had come out and we were warming ourselves at a gorgeous south-facing campsite overlooking the South Kawish. Enjoy!  Kawishiwi Triangle Loop, April 2021
