07/03/2021 08:11AM Paddled Hog Creek four times through the years. Once when water was very high! Also, when at low-level it was navigatable. You may have to step out in 18" water levels to lift the canoe over beaver dams (4 or 5) on the day you exit. In times of 'average' water level all but one of those dams can usually be paddled over when headed downstream to Perent. Beavers do a good job of regulating the water levels--providing it's not a drought, of course. |

07/02/2021 08:02PM I unexpectedly got some time off at the beginning of August and booked a Hog Creek trip into Perent. Never been. Question: Will it be navigable? The rivers I frequent are very low. Anybody have any recent intel or advice based on experience with low water years? Is the water even low up that way? Thanks in advance. |
