Went in last July during the fire ban and yeah something was just missing. Wasn't the same, plus nothing to keep the bugs down had to go in the shelter at dusk until morning because they were just awful. Fortunately I am pretty flexible and live in the cities so next time I will just opt to reschedule.

I agree, cooking over the fire is an awesome treat eapecially since we bring in fresh food and eat well. Plan accordingly and hopefully this will be one of those years you’ll look back on and laugh in which you had to cook over a stove. And who knows, you might just like one of those Mtn House/ Peak Refuel meals you wouldn’t ordinarily try. Good luck.

True, but food in the woods is still food in the woods.

I'll gladly cook with a camp stove to be in the woods.

Highlight the positive. Less time searching for firewood means more time for SWIMMING! Hurrah!

Little river has a good idea if you really want that fire experience that probably is allowed but you have to carry. Some things are worth carrying though for the experience.

It's gonna take a tropical system to change the current pattern.

Okay people with experience.
I understand the fire ban is for the best to protect our recourses. None the less I will have three disappointed kids that will understand.
Lets say the get BWCA gets 1/2-1" of rain will they then remove the ban?
