There’s a couple of good sites on Big Moose. The only one I wouldn’t consider is the one on the southwest end of the lake. Two nice beach areas depending on water levels. This lake used to be a trophy northern lake and very large smallmouth lake as well. Since the stocking of walleye, the northerns all but disappeared and the smallmouth got small. You should have have no problem catching eater size walleye as they are all over the lake.

The 3 northern most sites on the lake are all very nice campsites. My wife and I stayed at site 180 In early June, 2020. We caught sm bass right from the campsite. We were only there for the weekend and there was an extremely strong south wind so we didn’t fish from the canoe much. The wind was too strong to even consider a fire.
We’re planning an early June day trip just to fish this year.

Looking at a trip to Big Moose lake the first week of June. Looking for some feedback from anyone who has been on that lake before. How are the camp sites for a group of 6? I've heard it holds some good walleye and smallies - fishing story or truth lol? Paddle in looks pretty beautiful as well. Look forward to hearing what y'all might have to say.

Thanks!
