I came out today and had no problem. I was careful at the top of the rapids . I also saw open sites on 1 and a lot on 2. Best wishes on your trip Carl |

05/20/2022 09:54PM I'd suggest taking a left at the put-in (head north) and paddle up to the outfitter lodge via the narrows. Then head south to connect up with lake one. No portages and a lot safer given current water levels. Just a thought. |

05/20/2022 10:09AM Heading into the Numbers this weekend and spoke to an outfitter who said the current at the two portages between Lake One and Two is significant and is very particular to maneuver/find right now--mostly underwater. Not out of step with the rest of canoe country--but just curious if anyone here has been through there this week? Got a nearly 80 year old traveling with us and wanting to have an action plan in the back of my mind if need be. Would stay on Lake One if it is too rough--but the odds of finding a site on that lake are about the same as a slot machine in Vegas. Any thoughts? |
